In Loving Memory of Callahan.......April 1993 - December 16, 2008

Callahan, our cat of of almost 16 years, is missed by all of us! Over these last few years Callahan has been getting more and more unhealthy so we had to make that extremely hard decision to do what was best on Tuesday, December 16, 2008. We buried him here on the base between the mountain and Rodger's work place. Rodge can look out his office window and see his grave. Knowing that daddy could see his grave everyday seemed to have made it a little easier on the kids.

Here are a few pictures of him that were taken December 3, 2008. I couldn't tell you how many pictures we have of him under our Christmas tree over the years. This seemed to be one of his favorite spots to be during the Christmas season.

He will definitely never be forgotten. We have way too many memories of him.

More Snow Pictures from yesterday

These pictures were taken in the afternoon once it had been snowing for most of the day. It continued to snow a few more hours after these were taken.

Notice the amount of snow on Rodger's truck!

You have to just love snowball fights with Dad when you're a kid!

We all were amazed at the amount of snow we got here yesterday. Of course most of it is melting today. We are home with another snow day so it will be good to get back to school tomorrow since it's our last day before the winter break.

Can you tell the kids have a tall daddy? Who else could make a snowman this tall? Notice there's still plenty of snow on the ground even after using what we did to make the snowman.

Tenna enjoyed the snow just as much as we did. This is her running in the back yard. She didn't want to stay in the house much yesterday; she just kept begging to get outside. :) She would even catch and eat the small snowballs that the kids threw at her.

DESERT SNOW!!!

Ok, I admit, these are not the best photos but we had fun playing in the snow today. It was Tenna's (our boxer) first snow. These were taken in Yucca Valley, CA which is about 40 minutes from our house in Twentynine Palms, CA. These photos are proof that, yes!, it does snow in the desert!
